Offline | Just got my NAV system replaced (cold start problem) and noticed it is now rev 3/1-61. Anybody know what has changed from 3/1-60? 2004 Winning Blue Mazda RX-8 |

| MINI2 Regular | I think you are the first person to get this! I have been told there is no difference, however the disk was released as it included the firmware for the new dvd nav based system. I was also told the revision number had not changed..... but obviously am wrong about that one! Which dealer did it for you? Offline | Keeler Mini in Latham New York. The system seems even quicker than with 3/1-60 but it could be my imagination. There was a big jump in map drawing performance going from 3/1-59 to 3/1-60. Not nearly as big an improvement going to 3/1-61 but it seems snappier all around. Apparently my dealer couldn't get the new software that reputedly fixed the cold start problem and had to actually order the new NAV system to get it. Usually they get parts in one day but the NAV system had to come from Germany and took about two weeks before they finally got it. Can't really tell if it fixed the problem because the weather is finally warming up around here. I'll fire off a question to askmini and see if they have a list of what's changed. If I get a meaningful reply I will be sure to post it here. 2004 Winning Blue Mazda RX-8 |

Offline | Well, askmini just got back to me and said they do not have a list of enhancements. Hopefully this thread will turn something up from someone "in the know". 2004 Winning Blue Mazda RX-8 |
