Offline | Hey, I've seen plenty of threads about how to hook an ipod up to the sound system but I searched and couldn't find much on where everyone mounted them? I guess it doesn't havbe to ben an ipod, just show me what dash mounts (or whatever other creative mountn you came up with) looks like. Thanks for the help. -mat |

Offline | I bought mine from www.proclipusa.com I like the iPAQ holster, but don't like the dodgy mount that clips on the upright -- not only does the glovebox door rub against it when opening the glovebox door, but it sticks out too far too (I hit the bottom of my iPAQ when I shift into 5th). I'm hoping someone will come up with a better solution. |

Offline | I don't recall where I saw this link: http://www.proclipusa.com/frameset.htm Enter the make and model to see what's available for MINI. These attach to the downtube and may be the same sort of "dodgy" mount you guys are objecting to, but then again, maybe not? BRG/W MCS, Sport/Premium/Cold pkgs, leather, woodgrain dash, magnesium casings w/anthracite trim. |

Offline | Try www.dashmount.co.uk I keep their mini clip, it doesn't rub on the glove box and is stronger than the proclip mike |

Offline | I didn't mount my iPod, it just happily sits on the carpet below the e-brake. Sure I can't really tell what's playing, but I doubt I'd be able to see it well if it was mounted anyway. And then I can hit the buttons without thinking, like the mirror controls. That and since I hang out in cities, I can easily remove the iPod and its not obvious something's missing, and the car still looks 'clean' inside. I was never a big fan of odd clips and such. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |
