New Sat Nav Firmware

Hi All,

Back again but this time with the new firmware upgrade for your sat nav - 3-1/61, this time only for 72 hours...ish!

Use clonecd again to burn the image (at 1xspeed) and just stick it in your drive without the engine running an ignition on and it will take about 5-6 minutes to update!

What are the differences..... havent got a clue but does seem quite a bit faster!

LINK REMOVED BANDWITH EXCEEDED! - SORRY GUYS!

Please reply to this post to let me know how you get on

Cheers

The new software fixes the bug where when you display the map (without having set a destination), the current location place name, now changes according to where you are. There was a bug where the placename just stayed the same as your starting location. It changes now..

Anyone spot any other changes?

Thats exactly how to do it. You will need to download Clonecd to write it correctly, with the keys in the ignition so the sat nav is on, you remove the map disk, insert your upgrade disc. Takes about 6 mins to do, and you get a message when its done. One word of warning, don't do anything else with the car while its uploading!

Have you downloaded the the Nav software. Open clonecd, and select write from file, it should automatically select the nav files once you have unzipped them. The slect to write at 1x speed, and Bobs, your uncle

Darn... I was hoping for the UK Female. My MINI needs her British accent

There are 2 ways to get your british voice back....

Go see the dealer and they can change it back

or

Downgrade to V17 and then upgrade again to V21... although as you can tell this is the unofficial method!

Glad to hear everyone is doing well with the upgrade!

Another little change is that the woman now says "Diagnol"

Cheers
