Wave Radio Mp3 changer problems

Hello

I'm looking for some advice from anyone with the following set up or similar.

I have the standard Wave cassette radio with a Sony T70 Mp3 changer. The changer plays fine with normal CD's but when i try to play a MP3 CD I cannot select any tracks. The CD will play but skipping tracks forward or backwards doesn't work. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

I have the Wave cassette-radio and T70 changer myself. Sorry to hear about your problems, I have nothing similar. It works fine in my case.

I have the changer connected to the CD prep in the boot via the Connects2 adapter (part No MBMS005). Are you using the same connecter?

Other things that spring to mind :-

1) brand of CDR you're using. I stick to cheapies (PCline).
2) Are you burning too much onto them? If I go for a full 600Mb the changer can't recognise it (I think the index track or something doesn't burn properly), so I tend to stick to <550Mb
3) It tends to take a while to recognise each disc when you first select it (couple of minutes after its loaded - presumably whilst its reading the index or something). How long are you waiting after the disc has loaded before trying to skip?

Thanks for the reply. Now I know that this set up should work. I will have to start playing about with different CD's and how much I put on them. The adaptor I am using is the MBMS005.

Do you burn with folders on the CD or just MP3's straight into the root?

sorry it took so long to reply.

I don't bother with folders, just burn them straight (using Nero).

Good luck, let us know how you get on.

I use nero and don't use folders. And I just can't get it to work. I can fast forward through tracks but as soon as I try to select the next track it takes me straight back to track 1.

Do you have the MFSW?

I think I may have to try and get hold of another T70 and see if it does the same thing.

Sent an e-mail to incarexpress where i bought the changer. They seem to think it could be the interface as well so i'm arranging a replacement, hopefully this will work, I'll let you know.

Thanks again

Stephen.

excellent news Stephen.

Now you've just got to spend hours burning discs.
