Another Auto A/C Question!

Yes, no matter what the setting of my Auto A/C the fan sounds loud, and yes it's continuously whirring, BUT I've noticed something else too . . . . . . .

Driving to work in the morning I have my windows open and the A/C switched off (no lights, no temperature displayed). Even though the outside temperature is around 19 degrees C, I feel HOT air gently blowing through all the air vents. By "HOT", I mean it's uncomfortable to touch the air vents.

If I turn the A/C on for about 5 seconds (Auto and "Chiller" Lights on, display at 21 degrees C) and then turn it off, the air coming through the air vents is now(correctly) unheated, ie, it's the temperature of the air outside.

?

There's no problem, only solutions.

I don't have that happening with mine. I usually keep the auto off, and run it on manual mode.

The Auto A/C is the one thing I wish I would not have purchased on the car. I keep wondering if I could purchase the manual panel and have it retrofitted.

Gotten anything useful from MINI2? How about giving a little something back?

You will find other people discussing this too ... when you turn off the auto a/c it just seems to leave everything as it was, so if it was heating the air, it stays heating the air.
