Ive got a cooper S with 3 spoke wheel and controls on order through Haliwell Jones' in Chester.
Could the universal IR adapter be usede to control my Xbox DVD reciever, hoping to mount it in the boot so am guessing the wires will need to be extended.
I know the Xbox uses universal IR codes because i can set my one for all to control it.
How much for a facia adapter, iso adapter, stering controls adapter and for fitting (aerial adapter not needed) - could you pm me a price?

H/K connection

Hey Guys, I have a 04 MCS with H/K system. Has anyone installed a signal converter on the H/K amp speaker outputs in the back to get RCA outputs for an amp? I am wondering how this will sound. I have 2 Rockford Fosgate 12's and Punch 351 amp. So I do not want to have poor input for the amp to work with. Thanks. Cameron

No reason I can see for the swix not to work with the xbox, but you will lose control of the stereo

Micky,

I was reading the May issue of BMW magazine and it had an article about a new Sony head unit. As I understand it, on your side of the pond, hands free cell phones are going to be required by law soon. The article had pictures and text showing installation of new unit with cell phone mounting and interlock with the Sony unit. Part of the article read as follows:

"Recently, Sony started supplying head units to MINI dealerships as an optional extra, so this is a revelant upgrade for many owners"

They say the unit works with the MFSW and as a Sony Xplod CDX-CA680X.

The Sony web site doesn't show anything by this model and our local Crutchfield mail-order expert hasn't heard anything about it.

Have you heard any rumors about this, and if so, will it work with the standard head unit on a 2002 model?

Thanks for the great trend.

Bob

It will work with all Sonys with CD changer control & mfsw input. They were a bit premature with the article as we are still waiting for these kits
