Offline | standard head unit and cd changer? Should be a simple question for you ISE guys&gals: Does the standard no-frills head unit "plug and play" with the OEM 6 CD Changer unit? My idea is that I can buy the cd changer, mount it in the boot, and plug is straight into the standard stereo?? Thanks ,2003 All Black Cooper, Manual Air Con, and bits and bobs |

Offline | Nope - as most likely apparent from my other posts I only discovered this board "after" I had ordered the car! This means of course that it has nothing that I really want (spare tyre, CD Changer wires, storage shelf kit, and most likely tons of other things too!).... Ah well. I imagine it will be pretty straight forward to wire it up - as long as the head unit can take it? 2003 All Black Cooper, Manual Air Con, and bits and bobs |

Offline | You will need to ask your parts dept if they sell the cd prep cables. I sell them but they are only 80cm long, so won't reach the boot. - fine if you buy a bmw changer which will go in the glove box, or a Sony/Kenwood one with an adaptor but no good for the Mini one as is is designed to mount verticle mike |

Offline | How much do the BMW changers go for? (do you sell them Mike?). Never really liked changers in the boot - having one mounted up the front would be ideal (even if not in "glove box" but elsewhere in cabin). 2003 All Black Cooper, Manual Air Con, and bits and bobs |

Offline | Actually, when removing the back drivers side boot cover there are to wires taped up "spare". Is this the CD Changer wiring? 2003 All Black Cooper, Manual Air Con, and bits and bobs |
