My Cooper is on order for next month. When it arrives I want to replace to factory speakers. What size are the front/back speakers?

ok, i've run a search.

the back speakers are 6" x 9" as I suspected.

The front speakers are 5.25" but 6.5" will fit, is that correct?

I'm looking at some Pioneer speakers for the front which come in 6" and 6.5". So I guess that the 6.5" should be ok?

You will need to buy or make spacers to bring the 6.5" out a bit, and the hole pattern is not standard. I came up with this formula: spacer thickness = speaker mounting depth - 1.75".
