Two ampilfiers

Just bought a nice set of components (inifinty) and really wanna amp them up (Alpine MRP-T220 2/1channel Amplifier) but i already have one amp driving my sub, so do i have to run a completely new power cable from the battery?
Also, I only have one output on my head unit, how do I connect up my second amp?

All this bearing in mind the second amp will be on the other side of the boot (left cubby hole).

Any input would be great.

Nice one.

If the power cable to the first amp is heavy enough then you can run a second amp off it.
If the amp has got an rca out, you can plug the second amp into this, if not just get a pair of rca cable Y splitters, will cost under 5

You plug the spiltter into one of the amps, then plug a 2m rca cable into it to run to the other side

Remember, because of the low voltage on a Car battery, it depends on lead area (size) to pull current through, if your amp does not have sufficient power, it will pull too much through and burn the lead out. Possibly break other thing and could cause fire. Use the thickest stuff you can find, you will be surprised how much better it sounds.

And also remember that amps do not push their RMS value, they punch peak higher, and therefore need more power, consider a power cap, but not a big one, a 0.25 or0.5, farad is sufficient.

does the new amp have a speaker input on it?? if it does you can connect the normal speaker wires into them and then connect your speakers to the amp as normal.

No no no, i hope i got this right,

Never put a live speaker signal in the inputs of an amp, unless it states that it has a compressor inbuilt for fluctuating audio signals.
An amps input is as important as the output, you can blow both. so dont, the inputs can only take 4v inputs, and can speakers are banging out 10 V, so at high volumes you could blow the input sector.

you must take a line out of your head unit. But if you have the stock unit you will have to have the plug to adapt it, V Expensive.

Be careful!!!!!
