I know there have been threads a plenty about how noisy the air con is but for me air vent noise is the single biggest annoyance in an otherwise great car. In fact the problem is with the fan/airvents rather than the aircon per se as far as I can tell. Is it the fan itself or just the venting? I like to have a flow of air thru the car and on my previous vehicle even the second fan setting was inaudible but this one is like a small hurricane. Is there a fix? Change the fan, change the fan speed? (yeah apart from turn it off and open the roof!

no fix that i am aware of though mine is only intolerably noisy on the higher settings (ie: like speeds 6,7 & 8)
