Offline | If you get one speaker the opposite way to the other (out of phase) you will notice there is no bass, but when you adjust thebalance to one side you will get bass |

Offline | Hi, Mikey I just received my car kit from you in yesterday afternoon, thank you! There have a more than one junction of speaker wiring : Amp -- Stock speaker cable -- crossover box -- speaker. there must have more than one time in opposite way, do I need to pull out everything and run the wires again or just balance back in the connection from the AMP.(it more easy to do that if it work) ? Also, the gain of my AMP cannot go over 55% otherwise it will pick up the supercharge or engine sound but it fine when I stand under half way, is it normal or something wrong of my wiring? The Rca cable I run it on the right side, the Amp it sit under both seat but connection of the Amp, power/ground and Rca input are closed maybe there will be some crossover to each other. Thanks |

| MINI2 Regular | Sounds like just engine noise. Most important to get rid of that is make sure that if the RCA is run on the right side, the power to the amp is on the left. Keep them as far apart as possible. Also check to make sure your amps and stereo are as well grounded as possible, on the shortest length ground wire possible, and grounded as far from the antenna as possible. If you're using cheapo RCA cables, you may get noise too. I generally use the Rockford Fosgate shielded/twisted pair RCA's. Makes a big difference. If the noise is coming from the head unit, it's a little tougher, but you can install a noise blocker module, or I think there's HU shielding available. Usually tho, the noise is a wiring or grounding problem, and not a HU issue. Took delivery on 10/09/2003. Mmmm.... Dark silver. |
