Offline | I'm thinking about getting the CD changer for my Mini but I want to know if you can still play a CD in the main head unit once you have a changer in the boot? My existing CD player skips quite a lot, has anyone noticed a CD skipping when played from the CD changer? |

Offline | if you have skipping cd's something is wrong have the dealer look at it / replace the headunit it should not skip. Yes you can still use the slot in the head unit with the boot changer. My boot changer has skipped exactly 3 times in the year I've had it, and each time I was more worried about the alignment of the car after I hit a pothole big enough to make it jump. For those who have had skippig boot changers I'd advise them to see whether the changer was set to verticle or horizontal, a few people's dealers had forgotten to change it to verticle so theirs skipped like crazy. |

Offline | Aye most CD Changers have an anti skip thingy on it so they shoudlent skip iv had my cd changer for about 3 years skipped about once or twice only when i go over a pothole it skips... Get a CD Changer you will be glad you did. If you are copying CD's for the car make sure the changer has CD-R /CD-RW as it might not read them otherwise |

Offline | I'd probably recommend whatever is cheaper lol, over here in the states we can order OEM style CD-changers that plug right into the MINI wire harness but cost a fraction of what one from a dealer costs ( www.crutchfield.com ) has them but dunno if they ship international or if it'd be too pricy |

Offline | David_75 i have my official bmw cd changer for sale if you're interested. It's in mint condition and barely even used. I changed my head unit to a particular brand - Alpine - and i can't run the changer, or any other than an Alpine on through it Like i say if you are interested either pm me or e-mail me on: muhammad_im_hard_bruce_lee@hotmail.com (it is a real e-mail address its just a film quote!) |
