Hi,
I'm trying to install a leather e-brake boot on my Cooper but it didn't come with instructions. How difficult is it? Can anyone give me some advice?

I'm sure if you did a search you'd find something more detailed, but this was posted over on NAM. It doesn't have any pictures, but it's the same process I used to replace my handbrake boot so it should work for you if you can follow it.

Good luck! Getting the base of the boot detached is a real pain.

You didn't mention what you were replacing the boot with. I recently did mine with a new one from Moss Motors & it came with very good instructions. I was able to get the old boot off & the new one on without removinging the handle & cap. This simplified things quite a bit.

Actually I'm working with a supplier who wants to make the leather boots for MINI's. He has had many years of experience producing boots for rice rockets and now wants to add MINI's! I wasn't keen on the leather boots offered with white stitching so I found this supplier who does many different leather colors and stitching options, even two color options! He will use my vinyl boots as a template to produce the boots for MINI's. Once I recieve the finished boots I'll report on the results. I have confidence in the supplier and look forward to the final product.
