Offline | There are visual differences: Wave ![]() Boost ![]() From the Mini Website Wave: Power output 4 x 20 watts. Radio device has six station buttons. Integrated cassette player with cassette loader / ejector motor. Includes a speed-sensitive volume control. Boost: Power output 4 x 20 Watts. Radio device with six stations. Integrated cassette player with loader / ejector motor. Device includes a speed-sensitive volume control. Yes thats what I thought too! exactly the same but with slight difference in wording!! The boost does have advantages, but why on earth do they not specify these on the website??? |

Offline | Yes you can use a BOOST HU in a car originally fitted with a WAVE HU, as I've done the conversion myself. The WAVE HU has connectors with round pins, whilst BOOST has flat pins. Check out this link, as I've added the loom adapter part nos....... http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32628 BTW, WAVE does not come with ejector motor or speed sensitive volume, despite what the tech info above states! Offline | Yes I did........and yes there was........cassette to CD is a massive change in quality, plus you gain the extra stuff like speed related volume etc. Well worth the 140GBP the conversion cost. (For a CD HU and cables) Robert |
