Offline | Amp Installation Guide I hav seen a couple of step by step hu installation guides (including mikeythemini's), and i feel ok about installing this myself, however i can't find a step by step amp installation guide. Does anyone know where i can find a step by step (for someone with no installation experience) guide. I have the wave adapter from mikeythemini, and my new hu has no internal amp so this is not an option. My main concern is connecting the stock speakers to the amp, as i am not replacing the speakers straight. Any ideas? |

Offline | amp installation. i looked at that post, and i'm fairly happy about running the power cables. my main concern is how to attatch the speakers to the amp, as i assume all the speaker wires will run into the wave hu, and so i will need to identify the wires for the front and rear (left and right), cut them? and extend them to the amp in the boot! i will be connecting to the new hu using the adapter cables, and would prefer if necessary the snip and extend the wires from this point. Any ideas (and pics if poss). |

Offline | cheers mikey, that'll be a great help (the wire colours i mean!). do i just solder standard speaker wire (if so do you sell it, cos i guess i'll need some) or is there a special type of wire (i am totally new to all of this!), and is soldering the best way? |

Online | Just the normal harness adaptor, ideal for splicng wires if you have changed the stereo. If you havn't changed the stereo and wish to add an amp then my power take off kit gives all the wires available to splice without touching the factory stuff. p.s. nice to see you back on Dom not been on for a while?? |
