I'm getting a Mini Cooper on monday which has the CD BOOST option fitted. However I would like to add a sub woofer without changing the headunit, does the origional head unit have connections for output to an aftermarket amplifier?

If so, are there any theads which discuss the best one to get?

It doesn't have amp outputs
Get an amp with high level inputs - Kenwoods do.
You will then need to splice into the rear speaker wires. If you are worried about doing this because of the warranty I sell a radio loom extension (power take off kit) that allows you to splice in without touching the factory wiring
