Offline | You need a Hi to low converter (some amps have them built in). First pull stereo, find rear speaker wires sorry i cant remember the colors. attach enough speaker line to reach back of car. Next find the accesory wire and attach a strand of small guage wire to also run to back of car this will be youre remote or turn on wire. The next step is a big one run a strand of wire (size to be determend by power of amp, i awalys reccomend 4 guage) from battery to trunk. you will need fused link with in 8 inches of battey. come through the fire wall at the large rubber grommet on left side of the car. run all wires back to the amp.(easier said than done!!) good luck |

| Badger Badger Badger | I doubt it. Your amp will probably need a 30amp fuse at least and some decent gauge cabelling, Taking power from the battery is easy just needs a battery clip an inline fuse holder located within about 30cm of the battery and an earth (not back onto the battery), Plus you will need to run a wire from the headunit to the amp to tell it when to turn on and switch off, but that bit i'm not too sure how to do, as i haven't got my mini yet to start taking it apart. |

Offline | Please read the FAQ: http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?f..._faq_head_unit on changing the head unit. You do need to remove the downtubes, but that's explained as well. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |

| on a three hour tour | There's an assumption here that, though contraindicated by the evidence presented, shows a certain almost poignant confidence in the writer's fellow humans in general and the addressee in particular. ![]() Last edited by shanemcr : Mar 23rd, 2004 at 08:47 PM. Reason: typo |
