United-States Remote Starter wiring

Does anybody know the wiring diagrams or colors for the common wires needed to hook up an aftermarket alarm or remote starter. I know i need a transponder bypass also, but do not know all the color codes. ANY help would be awesome. I have an 02 cooper. Thanks!

If you are doing a remote starter I hope you have a CVT otherwise you'll have to illegally bypass the neutral safety switch.

please do let us know, as i've been looking for an ignition wiring diagram for the LONGEST time on here and everywhere else.... we're looking to install an auto (turbo if you will) timer for the car to let it cool down before shutting down after hard use.... my sources at two of the most involved service centers in the country (USA) have told me that there are about 4 to 5 pages on the ignition diagram itself for the car, but none of them will help me get where i need to go with this.... let me know what you find out, it is greatly appreciated! thanks!

United-States www.crimestopper.com wiring colors

they might help..
also i would get a transponder ring from the dealer and use a relay to switch between transponders. also you can use the wallet key(cut off part of it so if someone gets in and finds it it wont start the car.

i did a remote start on a 6 speed corvette and i used a magnet switch on the shifter. i taped the magnet to the shifter and mounted the magnet reader close by..use a normal open switch so if mag falls off the shifter , car wont auto start. i will be doing an install on my 2003 cooper s soon...i have wiring diagrams with pictures but cant locate now but got them for www.crimestopper.com..i am using a crimestopper autostart..

they have remote starts for manual transmissions ..this is how they work...if i remember correctly...you have to be in the car..wait lets say it like this ...you return home park your car, before shutting it off you have to put it netural and press the autostart button..then turn key off and take it out ..now you exit the car and car is running...press autostart button again it shuts off car now the autostrt unit knows it is ok to start the car next time button is pressed. ..i think it is a pain in the neck..that is why i used a regular auto start unit and wired it to the magnet switch i mounted on the shifter....
