Offline | Just wanted to show everyone my Mini iPod installation. I'm really pleased with it and my Mini is nearly complete (just in time to order the next one !!). I can not show any pictures of the installation as it was done by Mikey the Mini, top bloke. I can not recommend Mikey highly enough. Arranged fitting at very short notice and you'd never know he had been in the car. Excellent job, thanks again. The installation has been done using the new Dension ice link and cradle / dock. If you read this Mikey, the CD's are in the post, give me a shout if you don't receive them in a few days. |

Offline | mikey, is this a new item?! I didn't know you had that sort of active cradle available. I have an H/K Stereo and a 3rd generation Ipod. I also have an aux port installed (MINI, not home made), and your nokia connector for my CARK-132 kit. Will your ipod cradle work with all that stuff installed? Does the audio output come from the dock connector or do I also have to attach something to the headphone jack? I am currently using the belkin auto kit which I am pleased with but I was planning on building a dock that would eliminate the need for me to plug in my ipod when I get in the car. I would much rather just drop it into a cradle. Yours would save me lots of build time and if it gets me MFSW control all the better. Please let me know ASAP. Cheers, Avery |

Offline | holy crap! how did i miss this news!? After reading I have one more question: do you need to connect the v1.1 ice link in the boot or can you have it up front w/o running a cable back into the boot? It didn't seem clear. thanks, a |

Offline | For some reason, Americans, according to Dension USA, are scared of removing their head units and would rather connect to prewire trunk-mount connectors and run a cable from the rear to the front of the car. Europeans, having a more laissez-faire approach to life and fewer lawyers in general, appear to be less concerned about removing head units. On BMW/Mini, you can connect either at the rear of the head unit, or, using an extension cable, in the trunk. Personal preference.... remove the head unit. Save a copper tree! |

Offline | i can remove that HU with my eyes closed now! How do I order one with the HU connector and not the boot? It is against my better judgement to run cables back from where they came. ![]() -A |

Offline | USA ordering via www.densionusa.com. I'm sure they can help w.r.t. HU connector vs. boot (thank you!) connector. |
