Offline | Does anyone like the steering wheel? I personnaly don't. I think a 2 spokes-steering wheel looks cheap and unsporty. |

Offline | I agree with Dave. There's not much I don't like about the car at all. I'll admit that like the first post, I'm usually a 3 spoke MOMO Monte Carlo kind of guy but, the new MINI wheel is very nice and fit the rest of the interior perfectly. At least it's not like that hideous Citroen single spoke monstosity made back in the 80's. Yeeech. -Mike Charlotte, NC |

Offline | I'm with MAF. I find the steering wheel to be one of the few misses in the design (that I know of). The spokes are too wide to reach across. I think a regular Momo-style, though not a new design, would have been a better fit. I actually thought that the Citroen wheels were totally cool. When I used to go the the Philly car shows, one of the best displays was of the company CX (I think) that would import the citroens. They were really nice cars. Of course, you can totally disreguard my opinions, as it looks like I'm probably going to jump ship and buy another car in the late summer. I just can't wait for another full year. The crx won't take another winter, and the thought of BMW raping us on above-msrp prices kind of scares me (my guess only; not based on factual data). |

Offline | I'm with MAF and Tommy. The steering wheel is the only thing that I would/will change. The wide spokes will get in the way while performance driving and ergonomic comfort . . . I hope the hoop is a thinner (like a momo) and not thick like all of the current Japanese cars. Thick hoops are an ergonomic nightmare for those of us with carpel tunnel wrist problems and/or long distance driving applications. I'm hoping there will be a sporty version of the muli-funtion wheel e.g., 3-spoke momo style. I would hate to try to convert to a race Momo and try to retain the multi-funtion features. Does anyone know what the "multi-functions" are? |
