I found this cool pic on the john cooper website. I thought you folks might enjoy it.

I've never done this before, so I hope it works.

Looks pretty cool. Hope they have some different factory leather options; the m coupe has some good ones. I just don't want it to be like vw's gtis, where it's black or beige.

That does show one of the few misses, in my opinion. That central thing in the rear seat. It looks it would make it very hard for one person to stretch diagonally across the bench, or, Heaven forbid, to put three back there. Couldn't they have recessed the seatbelt anchors further into the rear of the bench seat? OK, sorry about nitpicking.

Here's another I found from the same website. Shows a nice view of the navigation system and auto climate controls. Enjoy!

I like the color combination of the interior picture at the top of this thread. This must be a photo of an early MINI prototype - the wiper stalk still has the little red light at the tip for the emergency flashers. This corresponds with the little green light on the end of the turn signal stalk that lights up when signaling (mimicking the same feature of the early classic Minis). At some point in the development of the MINI it was apparently decided to drop these unique features, as all the more recent interior pictures show just the plain silver plastic tip on these stalks.

That’s too bad, as it would have helped impart just a little bit more of the classic Mini identity into the MINI. On my ’65 Mini at night, the interior just glows green with every flash of the turn signals. It is really very cool. B)

Does anyone know why BMW eliminated these features?

you know another feature i think would be nice, is a gearshift that lights up on the knob so you can see the picture of the gears at night.

i dunno, i just think that would look very good at night

This may be a silly question but, since there is a manual gearbox on the floor and, it appears, a paddle shifter on the wheel, can you use either or were they just showing things that could be used??? Will you get both?

Thanks,
Mike

Even though the upholstry is the same in both photos shown on this thread, I think we are looking at two different cars: a manual MINI with the navigation system (and no green light on the end of the turn signal stalk) and an automatic MINI with the steering wheel paddles (but without the metalic knob atop the floor gearshift lever).
