Offline | Pictures of Tartan Red Seat Covers?? I scanned the forums and this question came up a while ago but I don't think any one provided a picture of the Tartan Red seat covers that appear as an option on the MINI Cooper US website car configurator. The part numbers are: 52 30 0 147 389 Tartan Red Sport Seat Cover (Front Left) 52 30 0 147 390 Tartan Red Sport Seat Cover (Front Right) 52 30 0 147 392 Tartan Red Seat Cover (Rear) Anyone have any pics? Offline | Here's a picture of the tartan red in Casper. I like them quite well. Back seats fit perfectly. On the fronts the back covers fit well and the seat portion fits well every where but right at the upper back, a little baggy but not bad. All in all I like them a lot. The color really adds to the Pepper White. And if you are over the top a bit you can have the head rest covers stitched with something applicable to your baby. ![]() |

Offline | When you say "Covers" you mean that slip over the standard seats? I've always wanted the tarten Red, bit never like dthe Red doors that com with it. Anyway Ive got JCW seats in Tarten red on their way, and I need to get the rears to match. So if there is a "Cover" hen this would be ideal. Any extra info would be appreciated. ![]() |

Offline | Yes they go over the existing seats. I have leatherette underneath. I, like you, did not care for the red doors. The red interior was not available on the '04 S anyway. So when I ordered the pepper white S, I ordered the factory seat covers. They look perfect in the back seat. One piece covers the entire bottom of the back seat. You must remove it but it was easy. There is an individual piece for each upper back half and a head rest cover for each of those. I have to say the hardest part of installation was the upper back seat...very tight fit. |

| MINI2 Master | yeah no more since then, touch wood, I was very lucky with that one too, should have lost my licence for 6 months.... i was overtaking and the policeman radared me at 135km/h in a 90 zone, which over here is automatic license loss for 6 months. he ended up booking me for 99 in a 90 which is $135 fine and 1 point, he liked my car, and he even said it was pretty unlucky that I happened to be overtaking there (downhill, clear visibility for a couple of k's, country road) just to give you an idea of what it's like here at the moment, on the hume hwy which is a 3 lane each way divided freeway between melbourne and sydney (about 900kms), the speed limit is 110km/h, and you automatically lose your licence at 125 km/h.... police are also booking people for 3km/h over the limit even though your speedo is allowed to be 10% out according to the Design Rules. anyway, this is off topic for the thread so i'll end my rant. |

Offline | These are factory seat covers ordered from the US MINI dealership. They slip over the existing seats. Fit is excellent everywhere but on the seat portion of the fronts. It doen't fit perfectly at the back of the seat where it hinges with the upper portion. Not bad though....a couple of little wrinkles. I can see about another picture of that portion if you wish. I did it myself, mostly. Although not entirely necessary, hubby helped me remove the front seats to make it easier to fit the lower fronts. I actually found the best advice to install around here on MINI2 somewhere. The red is perfect inside the PW. The color is almost elegant on the outside with a sassy red interior. PW was the choice for my second new MINI when I went for an S as I had driven a lovely white with black roof classic Mini for a number of years. It was a perfect little Mini only broke down one time (right in my driveway) so I was elated to have that choice available to me for my S. Good luck with yours and hurry Nov 12 Donna |

Offline | Thanks for your time Donna, I'll be pricing these up as an early Christmas present. I think the red interior on the white mini is soooo retro. Girlfriend has a Pure Silver "One" with Complete Red interior and it has a real warm feel about it. Don't feel obliged about posting another pic of the wrinkles but if you get to do it sometime that would be very helpful... Thanks again Kindest regards Nige |
