Finding Rear Speaker Wires......help?

Hello all,
I have had a bit of a read around the forum, and I have worked out in order to change the rear speakers, the rear seat and side panels have to be removed. However I am installing a high level input to RCA converter into the mini to give signal to an amp.

Here is the million dollar question, do I need to remove the seats and rear panels, to just get access to the rear speaker wires, tap into them, and run new wires into the boot, or am i able to find them through the rear cubby holes (or some other equally invasive method)

I am getting a little nervous at the thought of taking out the seats and some major panels to just see a couple of wires.

Any ideas anyone.......

josh

Hope that helps.

Gosh!

That is an awful lot of work involved just to change the head unit and speakers! I could see myself easily scuffing up the panels and upholstery doing some of that work

Will do it one day though, along with a sub in the boot

" no pain no gain " - That phrase speaks volumes!

Yeah, there is a fair amount of interior that needs to come out. But, it's not necessarily hard, just a little time consuming. You won't scuff the panels/upholstry if you take care over it, and it's really easier than it looks!
Allow yourself a full day, if you've not done this type of stuff before.

Lee,
Thanks for the excellent instructions, obviously the bad news is that i have to remove the seats, but the good news is that i have some visual references to go off so I am less stressed about this.
BTW.....love the supra....*drools*

I am going to attempt to give this a go this afternoon, but as the weather seems to be a bit bleak, i don't know how far i will get.

thanks again

josh

Lee, took apart the mini yesterday, thanks for the instructions, without them i would of been in hot water. To tell the truth it went off without a hitch and was alot simpler than i thought (cept for those pesky yellow clips )
once again thanks a million for providing us with the step by step pics. much apreciated

Hey Josh,

The clips /are/ a pain, but at least they're easily replaced. I'm glad the write up was helpful to you
