Offline | Armed with the diagram in the FAQ for a CD head unit I thought my wave would be similar. How wrong could I be........ Using some lateral thinking I've spliced into my rear L and R outputs to temporarily feed my Sub until I can afford a decent head unit. Does anyone have a wiring diagram dedicated to the Wave so I can make sure I've got my polarities correct? It all seems to be working correct but having 2 channel input to my amp, if i get one of the 2 the wrong way round, I'm unsure if I'd be able to distinctly hear it? or in fact if I got them both the wrong way round, how would that sound? (weaker I expect as it's would pull instead of push) Like I said, it booms but something "feels" wrong.....Hmmmmmmm. The last time I did an install I had nice and easy pre-outs and just couldn't get it wrong. That system kicked ass! Massive help if you can. I may try to contact BMW/Mini for one. I'm breakin' her in officer...........Honest! |

Offline | I PM'd him the same time I posted this thread. Have tapped his pool of knowledge before. Just thought I'd try the general population as well. For now I'm not looking for a converter, I've spliced and soldered the 4 connections I need for now. When I get a new head unit they will become obsolete as I'll need a propper Din converter then. Thanks for trying though. I'm breakin' her in officer...........Honest! |

Offline | Thaks Mike. I'll be checking my notes tonight. Hope I got it right as I don't want to dismantle everything again (and I'd be all deflated after my supa sleuth antics) This is probably worth a post on the FAQ. I'm breakin' her in officer...........Honest! |
