Heated Front Screen Question

I noticed today using my heated front screen that the switch kept turning itself off after a couple of minutes, is this normal, shouldnt the button stay lit until i turn it off ?

Thanks

Yeah it's normal and saves burning out the elements on the front. You will also notice if you turn it on and it's heated up your vision will be ever so slightly distorted!
Is weird when you first see it

If I remember the man-well correctly it starts on full power then the light goes out but it
remains on for longer at reduced power and then goes off completely. Or does the light
stay on for full/reduced power and go off when the power goes off completely? Two stage
heated screen, very clever except I've never used mine .

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs
