DIY Tweeter clickiing problem identified

Hi

A while ago, I posted about a problem with my tweeters making a high pitched clicking noise and now, after 5 visits to Rydale Sutton Coldfield, BMW have finally identified the cause of the problem. Apparently it is associated with the wiring itself - the guy referred to it as cableless (pronounced that way at least) and it will only occur with certain head units that use this type of wiring.

Rydale are now contacting PUMA (not sure who they are) to find out what the official fix for the problem is and the Mini has to go back again after Xmas once they have authorisation to carry out the fix. The man who dealt with the latest visit has asked me to say that if anyone else has the same problem to contact him at Rydale Sutton. I can provide contact details if required.
