Headrest LCD Screen DIY

With my car on order till March I have nothing to do but think of things to change/modify when it arrives

I quite like the look of the following Centurion screens and DVD player for around £399.

http://www.mncgroup.co.uk/products/d...pro60dvd/1205/

A couple of questions for the wise :

The DVD player can run on 12V but I'm not sure about the power requirements for the screens.

Does the Cooper S have a 12V power adaptor in the boot ?

What is the easiest power source for the LCD screens ?

Anyone fitted anthing similar ? pictures/comments ?

Cheers

Gary

Spoke to Mike via another post about MFSW adaptors for my CD player.

Mike has posted a previous solution but it was over a £1000 if I remember correctly.

I'm sure the quality would be better via Mike but I was hoping to fit it my self if possible as it's a huge saving if you can.

What size are the screens?
You will only get 5" widescreen ones in mini headrests without major surgery.

I originally bought a Centurion single LCD package to use in my Zafira. The whole package was a mish mash of wires galore. The main problem that I had was that the DVD unit is not DIN sized and we struggled to find somewhere accessible to install it. In the end I took it back for a refund.

I went for a proper install of some VDO Dayton screens to integrate with my SatNav. On my Beemer I use a Nextbase Tablet DVD player which attaches to the headrest with straps.
