How to remove cassette player?

I've purchased a Pioneer CD player for my 2004 Cooper. However, I cannot remove the existing cassette player. The central console is the major sticking point. If I knew how to remove this I could proceed. Any help most gratefully received.

you will need a fitting kit for it. Mikeythemini from WWW.newministuff.co.uk
makes them + an adaptor that makes your multifunction wheel control your Pioneer CD player
