I've read posts in the past that show crossovers mounted on the inner door sheet metal just aft of the speaker location. However, I think these installs were on '04 and earlier models. I have an '05, and the backside of the interior door panel appears to have some added reinforcements that are causing me to question whether or not there will be enough space for the crossover to fit.

Has anyone done an install on an '05? Did the backside of the interior door panels change, or am I just imagining the new reinforcements? For details, my front speakers will be Boston Acoustics 6.5 Pro's along with the crossovers, of course. And also will use another set of BA tweeters in the stock location.

Thanks for any advice or input you can offer!

My 52 had some reinforcements so I cut them away
