Offline | Hi Rich Thanks for your reply, I've had a look at your pics, great car, can you tell me, in your opinion is the sat nav that is factory finished any good? Does it give you written directions as well as the graphical map? Thanks James Mid life crisis? - get a Cooper S!! |

Offline | factory nav is great, love it in mine, I am hoping to get the TV set up too, as I will also be having Box Office in there, so I want something in the front for me You can pull up the list of the directions if you want on the nav, but I like the whole magical mystery tour part of nav, just tell it where you want to go and thats it, no worries ![]() The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |

Offline | well not exact list of directions, more like a list of the route it will be taking you on ![]() go to information, its in there Rich, I use it sometimes when I want a rough idea of where it is taking me, so I can then use the magnet function to avoid certain city centres ![]() The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |

Offline | magnet, oh dear, I knew someone would ask about that ![]() I have only played with it a few times, its on the latest software update, its a function where you can tell Sat Nav to take part of your journey via a point on the map, so as to either kind of pass the place you want or avoid certain places. ![]() The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |

Offline | I have a TV Tuner kit based on the OEM BMW Video module on the way from mikeythemini to do exactly what you want Jacko. When it arrives (probably a while, Australia is a long way from the UK ) I'll post my comments about it here ![]() |
