| MINI2 Master | Has anyone here done the old BOOST head unit to 2005 BOOST head unit swap to get TMC working? I'm having problems - Fitted a 2005 BOOST head unit to replace my old tape BOOST head unit in order to get TMC on factory navigation. Took the old one out, fitted the new one, tested it, checked HK was still functioning, checked TMC working OK - all absolutely spot on, no problems. Put everything back together and on playing a bit more realised the nav voice had disappeared. Took everything back out, checked connections - OK, put old head unit back in and tested nav voice - voice fine. Put new head unit back in - no voice. What's happening here? Am I missing something? Hope someone can shed a bit of light... Last edited by StevePSB : Jan 29th, 2005 at 08:18 PM. |

| MINI2 Master | Done some more digging. mhoutman has done this too and is having the same problem as me. He too has HK. Looks like it could be a HK related problem... That's a scenario I hadn't given much thought to be honest. Can't see why it could make any difference, unless there is a specific nav+HK 05 CD BOOST head unit of course. |

Offline | might worth you meeting up with Rich or someone else and try fitting the HU in a non HK system just so you can rule it out Steve ![]() The voice annoys me anyway, and I nearly always have her on mute ![]() The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |

Offline | I know when you retrofit a video module you have to join two pins at the back of the headunit... I wonder if it's related to something like that? I have the pin numbers at home courtesy of mikeythemini. Where is he btw? He may know! |
