I need some help with an ice problem

i was listenin to some music in ma car today. i had the boot open, when i went to close the boot an pushed it down slightly the music went off then when i put it back up it came on again. if the music is playing when i have the boot either fully open or fully closed the music plays fine. there is no speaker cables running through the boot! anyone had this problem before? i need help thanks!

Still puzzled by this. We're closed over Easter but will be around doing paper work - if you get free & can pop over give me a shout on here I would love to have a look.
Does all the speakers go off?, does the head unit go off?

the head unit stays on, but the sub goes off and the speakers go very quiet, almost to the point were you cant hear them. i have kept tyring but its still doin it!

Sounds like you have wired the Power to the Sub to the Interior light switch feed-I did this once on my old CVitroen AX!
Hence when you open the boot, the light comes on-the sub comes on!

The amp for the sub is powered from the battery under the bonnet & he turn on is from the elec aerial output of the stereo.
Adam - I noticed you had added neons into the boot - how are they wired?

the neons were plugged into the rear 12v supply. and they have been removed!
