I had a '05 convertible loaner for a day and noticed they have the LED in the door handles. I liked that a lot. Does anyone knows how to do something like that with the same color as the rest of the lighting (orange)?

They are called, Interior accent lighting. You can fit them into the air vents, door handles etc.

I wonder how hard would it be to retrofit the parts from an '05 model? Has anyone tried this yet?

Yeh I recon they copied it from me - My Mini has had it since 2002

got a pic of ur car with them in?
have always been interested whenever i hear u talking abt ur in car lights but never figured out how they'd look

r they hard to install? could someone who doesn't have a clue abt anything order them from u and install them? although i'm in australia so postage would probably be more expensive than the lights themselves....

Mounting them is easy, running the wires through the door tubes is a pain in the but.

so did u ever find those pics? and is there any information available anywhere that could teach me how to mount and run the wires through the door tubes...as in what to unscrew, where to stick fingers etc?? sorry to be a pain, just really interested in the lights but have no idea how to get about getting them or setting them up

if i was around where you are, i'd just come and pay you to do it for me!! and i'd end up blowing a lot more money getting u to install an ICE system as well while u've got my car apart!!

maybe it's lucky i'm not near you!! saves me a lot of money!! anyway, any info would be much appreciated

I'll toss in my 2 cents worth. I was suprised to see that my 2005 Cabrio in Hot Orange has the orange accent lighting on the door handles. I also have some downlighting from around the interior door light in orange too. ( I'd assume that it's standard equipment as I don't put that into a package.) It really brings out the orange dash...
