DIY Retro fit Bluetooth kits for new MFSW Minis

We now have the full range of Bluetooth kits for Minis with the new MFSW with Phone buttons. For Wave, Boost & HK - they also work if the car has sat nav.
My interfaces link the Parrot 3000 or Nokia CK7w or Ericsson HCB300 kit to the stereo & MFSW.
It is plug & play, very easy fit (no wires to splice or chop - plugs in behind the factory stereo leaving you to just mount the microphone.
The steering wheel buttons activate voice dialing, answer & end calls. There is no need to mount an ugly seperate controller.
The interface powers the kit, mutes the radio & routes the call through the car speakers as well as giving MFSW control - all from connecting at the stereo.

It is available as just the interface or bundled with the phone kit

This we still dont know - if I had an old shape 3 spoke on my car I would try it for you but mine is a 2 spoke - which I prefare.
p.s. - We had a new Mini in yesterday with a 2 spoke sports MFSW ?? I will be pleased if I can still get one of those on my next Mini

Just fitted the kit into my MCSC today.
It works a treat and was so easy to install after I removed the radio.
I was wondering whether I had missed anything because it was that simple.

I had also bought the ipod ice link plus from newministuff and it was connected to the car kit wires so I didn't have to do a thing.

The install instructions on their website are very good and easy to follow. You can DIY. No need to pay someone to fit it. It took me 1 1/2 hours to do everything.

Thanks Newministuff!!!

The only kits we can get to display on the nav screens are older nokia & ericsson
We should have an interface for the new wheel to Nokia bluetooth in around 3 weeks

How about some sort of interface for us 04 2 spoke wheels to use the dead button? Maybe GBMINI to the rescue?

Mike just bought the bluetooth bits from you (before seeing this post) are any of the bits I have going to be any use in a few weeks time when you have the new kit? or will have to buy a new complete kit?

If I have to buy a new kit may hang on & sell the bits I just got

Not sure? just a black box & a bunch of wires

Right it's a Parrot CK3000 to work with the new mfsw. Haven't got round to plugging it in yet, did the one you got me for my van though.

Guess I will need a whole new lot of bits, have you a rough idea of the cost? And will I be able to tell who is calling on the nav screen?

The desciption says "The only thing you can see in the car is the microphone". Where do you mount this?

In doing some looking around, it seems that some BMW's mount a microphone in the overhead console, in what looks to be in place fo the same small "vent" covers on the console of my '05 MCSC. Have you looked into using that type of microphone so that there's literally nothing visible in the car?

What phone you got?
The bluetooth kits are the modern ones
The cradle kits that display on the nav screen are older kits for older phones
