Aftermarket cigarette lighter

I was thinking of replacing the cigarette lighter with a nicer looking one like this one off ebay. Just wondering if anyone else has done it. I was a bit worried reading the bit on one of the auctions that says "Unlike other lighter elements, this one will not blow fuses or stop working within 1 month. This is a very impressive new lighter element. It feels very solid and engineered for perfection. A Perfect edition to any car." (That was on this auction).

I replaced mine with the MINI map light

VW also makes a cool oulet-charged flashlight.

Of course, neither of these light cigarettes if you need that functionality...

Nope, don't need to light cigarettes, just didn;t like the look of the standard one with the picture of a cigarette on it!

They look really nice! I think that the first one would look better in a chrome-line interior, while the other suits the standard silver interior quite nicely!

I got one of these off ebay ages ago (shortly after starting this thread). Have only just got round to taking a picture though. Looks good, and so far my car hasn't caught fire.

Picture shows (very blurry) chromed switch hoop things from Minispeed too. They are metal not plastic, and just push on over the existing ones, no glue required. If anyone wants a better picture let me know.
