How difficult to keep space grey cloth seats clean?

In the US, space grey is the only cloth seat option in S models. My wife and I want cloth for the front seats, but how well would the back seat hold up with a 6 year old? The grey parts are rather light colored and we wonder how easily dirt and stains show on the material, and whether it is difficult to clean. Accessory seat covers are available from MINI. Would they be a requirement for us?
