First of all, thanks for a great forum and this is my first post but Ive been inactive for a while but Ive leared a lot from all of you before buying my first Mini

Well, a month ago Ive got my 02 Cooper and began a few modifications one the outside (U.J. roof, bonnet stripes and MCS spoiler). I want more, but now on the inside....

Since my car is imported from Germany to Norway I have the wave casette S****. I need to get rid of that one and fit someting more useful, the JVC KD-AVX1 looks nice (saw some pics here in the forum). While Im on it, Im planning to use the DIY info on this page to fit new speakers as well.

As far as Ive been able to understand, I need a wave conv. kit from newministuff (The one that costs aprox £20). Since Ive never worked with car stero before, do I need some kind of a metal frame inside this kit like the frames Ive seen on other cars?

While surfing on newministuff Ive found this great looking 10" case for my back, for a newbie like me, how hard is it to get the cables from the engine bay/HU to the rear of my car ? Ive found a few DIY instructions but it looks kinda sick disasembling the seats in the back.

And, while Im on it, the original cables to the speakers in the car, OK quality for a better stero fitted ? If not, difficult to replace?
