Thanks Widgey
Boost is more powerfull.
I presume its a saloon
Rear 6*9's Kenwood 6900's are nice
Front with pods 13c or 16.5cm
I have pods , wiring adaptors & speakers
If you are going wave to boost you will need adaptors for that - ALL in stock www.newministuff.com

so sound and quality can be improved, keeping the stock Boost HU, by replacing the speakers?

Would adding an amp also work be of benifit with the stock HU and possible?

Might be looking for more work to be done

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

Hi

Why don't you just upgrade the head unit, its much easier than changing your speakers.
A new good quality head unit will make the standard speakers sound so much better. I fitted a Pioneer 7600 to my Mini and the sound difference is so much better that I have not changed my speakers. It also only cost me £180 from Halfords as they price match (normal price £300).
It looks neat and smart in the Mini center console and does not look out of place.

because I have factory Sat nav, and this needs the stock HU for TMC

I was very pleased with the sound quality when I ditched the WAVE cassette HU and fitted a BOOST CD HU (bought from Tony *t3 in the FOR SALE forum at a giveaway price a coupla months ago). The difference between the two is very noticeable.

The BOOST HU is more powerful and goes plenty loud enough for me. With the fader slightly biased towards the rear I get decent bass and the quality is as good as I want or probably need.
Mike (www.newministuff.com) supplied all the leads. Get all the leads you need from him.
He's been doing MINI community service for ages
(or should that be providing a service to the MINI community for ages)
