Change your a/c filter

I just changed mine yesterday and look what i found? Lotsa dust, leaves dried sponge - imagine breathing in all these stuff everyday

Hi Ian,

Wish i could mate but it was done by my mechanic during an service in between the actual service. I saw him do it. The A/C filetr is located below the glove compartment. In fact there is no tools required - just remove the box-like compartment (black in colour) and wala...

Here's a write-up on how to change the MINI's cabin air filter done by ProMINI:

Note that ProMINI also sells the air filters (both types - electrostatic and carbon) at a discounted rate.

..did you do an aircon evaporator clean too while you were at it? That is what gives you the bad smell...


Mine was a bit whiffy until I did... just wondered what your technique was....

But that's the point of the filter. You DON'T breathe it in

I believe this is one of the few items that gets changed on every service anyway.
