Offline | please HELP - icelink plus installation Hi all users who have installed the icelink plus! I have everything taken apart and cannot find where to plug in the 3 pin of the icelink into the standard boost radio - is there a cable hidden somewhere with a recieving receptacle, or was I supposed to get and adaptor? any pictures would also be greatly appreciated, but a written description asap would be oh so welcome (hard to drive my MCS '03 with all the interior components strewn about !) thankx c. Offline | will get pictures momentarily, but it is essentially the item pictured on the icelink website - I have an '03 build the has the white 12 connector - the icelink unit has 2 part (one part is allegedly for phone hook-up), both 3 pin male ends I've seen your post in other threads - I studied them, but couldn't find my missing link... Offline | If it hs come with a short lead you can put your ipod in the glove box If it has come with a long lead you can have your ipod up front but u will have to run wires right through the car - (3m back 3m forward - sound loss) Or tkae it back & get the one that plugs into the radio |

Offline | wrote too soon - plugged all in - checked connections and tried it out, but radio not recognizing iPod - I have the cd changer cable, but is it possible it is not programmed for a cd changer? reset radio by removing the fuse in the unit - any suggestions? or, has the beer kicked in and you're done for the nite? Offline | The stereo does not require programming The icelink may do? The early ones we sold required programming but for the last 6 months they have all been pre programmed. USA suppliers might be different. There should be a guide to downloading firmware in the package |
