0007 is being run by someone very senior at Mini HQ - I have been told the name by two independent sources - Goonery probably knows him in any case.

Spotted 0891 yesterday parked outside a house in a nice part of Portsmouth. Hello to whoever owns it and it was lovely to see parked between all those boring other cars! Lovely MINI! Shame it wasn't someones on here!

First GP for me on the roads and spotted in Portsmouth! Seen a few at shows though. Very cool! Now we know where that one went too!

Someone artistic could print up some GP OWNERS CLUB spotter cards with a couple of URL links so they'd know to go post their number and origin. We do that in our local club here in Houston. It works really well.

not a bad price for Italy. the official dealer price is 35,000 euro which is 44,000 US
Germany price is 32k euro = $40320
UK price is 22k pound = $41161

so the price listed is pretty good.

dont forget : US spec GP is not the same as the original real (heheh) european spec.

3 more days and then 28 lucky South Africans take delivery of their GP's at Kyalami race track - with a full day of advanced driving lessons thrown in. My (unconfirmed) roof number is 1987, with the dealer principle at the garage supplying my GP getting #1111...

What is the source of the 'running in' period? My dealer says running in is not necessary on any MINI!

Ive worked at Ford for 8 years & then Jaguar for a further 4years and modern engines now dont really need running in just dont red line it for about 500 miles then just slowly take the revs higher & higher. Thats when it gets more fun after 4500 all hell breaks loose the sound in the car is awsome, & it goes like f**k

United-States New GP arrives.

I picked up my GP today from Towson. 1st one delivered by Towson. My number has changed ............. its now 0271.
I have two things that I noticed that weren't to my liking.
My number on the roof ............ The number 1 at the end of my number is misaligned as it is higher then the other numbers and is very visable to the naked eye.
Also yo have to SLAM the back hatch to close it all the way.
What should I do ??

you should get your dealer to order the defective number and re apply it correctly. As for the tailgate slam , just screw in the rubber buffers a 1/4 turn or so on both sides equally.

Hi from Marbella, Spain!

I´m going to give you some GP numbers in Spain. We had here in Spain 85 GP´s, but now we have 84 because one of them has been stolen from a dealer in Madrid (number 0042).
I am the owner of number 1565.
Numbers 0145 and 0777 are also in Marbella.
Number 1641 still for sale in Marbella dealer.
Number 1436 in Madrid.
Numbers 0406 and 1973 have been sold in Barcelona.
I know there are anothers for sale but I don´t know the numbers.

Javi.

Congratulations!!!

The number should be in perfect alignment. have you a photo?

The rear hatch is a common problem. There are adjustment screws. This subject has already been discussed on here but I can't find it! Try a search.

Meanwhile, enjoy!!!
