| MINI2 Regular | UK GP owners - a question for you? Ive noticed that they come with the US spec side reflectors/markers. Do these light up on UK models or are they just reflectors. Was wondering if its road legal for them to light up in the UK thought this is the best way to find out. |

Offline | Mine don't light up; Might bring this up with my dealer though, as I think they can get them to light up. One thing I'm unsure of; is wether they must both light up in amber, or wether the rear one must be in red....... I don't like reflectors, they look tacky; But if I can get them to function, then that'll at least make them a bit more bearable. |

Offline | I could be wrong, but I think you can get smoked lenses, also assuming the GP ones are the same size as the regular ones. Might be something worth tracking down |

Offline | It's not that simple, the laws are VERY sketchy, but within a certain distance from the rear of the vehicle a red light seems to be fine from all the official documents I could find. I've seen some other euro cars with red lights showing atthe side, I think Volvo and maybe Saab to name a couple. |

Offline | I am sure I have seen a lot of UK spec Volvos with illuminated yellow sidelights? And what about HGV's? a lot of them have yellow sidelights on the trailers now....... Mikey will know about this. (What do you have to do to get them to work? do you have to splice any wires or is it all there?) Its a very difficult job and the only way to get through it is we all work together as a team..... |

Offline | They screw (plastic screws) and clip in place, quite easy to do, but you'll have to take the rear plastic panels off, which is trickier. I believe there's a guide on Mikeys site, I know I didn't do mine "blind", wouldn't dare! |
