I finally got my production number today!

So, based on your experiences, how long do you think I have left before I get my GP? Oh and is there any way to decode the GP serial number from the VIN number?

Your dealer should have your roof number, but there's no coorelation between VIN and roof number.

Tracking a GP is a lot tougher than a MINI built in Oxford.

What she said. Your dealer has been able to determine your US GP number since August 15. It's my understanding that delivery of the remaining US GPs will be late October to mid November. Enjoy the wiat

Has anyone heard if their dealership will be receiving their remaining GP's all at once? I'm number 4 in line out of 7, so just wondering. Right now, I'm assuming I'll just have to wait some more.

The dealership seems really clueless in terms of more info...when I talked to the sales manager last month he said he had no info other than my order was in.

So I read the MotoringFile post about the estimated US GP delivery dates and out of curiousity checked into the Owner's Lounge again and *do my eyes deceive me* my GP is awaiting transport

So anyone want to wager that I get it by mid October?

Cause I mean as quickly as it went from waiting for production to awaiting transport I'd reckon it'd be here by next week.

If your GP is awaiting transport, you should be able to go to the WW site and see what boat & trip it's scheduled for!
Go here:
Wallenius Wilhelmsen - Cargo Tracking
Click on "auto cargo" (bottom right) and enter the full VIN; hopefully WW will have you and tell you what boat you're on, and give you a preliminary schedule.

I was told mine is presently in NJ to be shipped 10/1 & arrive at my dealer Buffalo, NY] on 10/3.

GBMINI -- I entered the VIN info from the Owner's Lounge on to the WW tracking site and didn't get anything back

One thing you can do while you're looking forward to the arrival of your GP is to go ahead and get one of the shorter antennas. The GP wing "hits" the stock antenna, and the CF is way too nice to keep banging into the antenna.

Hey, Jake, where are you near Buffalo? I think you might have one of the first, if not the first Towne GP. Congrats!

dcc, every USA GP owner-to-be should know their roof number.
If your dealership can't help you, I can - so long as you have your production number or VIN (PM or email me)

hey dcc. according to the logistics company it should get to SC on the 3rd week of the month so the dealer thinks either the last week of Oct or the first week of Nov.
