JCW's are 100% not 14.5 reduction, they are 11%. on 2005 onwards anyway imo

I know this as there John Cooper 225 HPD kit isnt even 14.5% Why would they design a 225kit with a bigger pulley(hence less boost)??

The one i measured in my hands and roland from GTT was 11% smaller!! I think there has been some confusion from they way people have actually been measuring them, the only way is with the pulley in your hands with a pair of vernier calipers, not on the car with a tape measure

I have not measured one myself - but have read alot about this -

Roland has measured only one @ 11% and the others that he has measured have been c14.2-14.5% - All of these were on the car. The consensus worldwide is that the JCW pulley is around a 14% reduction

In the last thread that was posted ref: pulley sizes - I did pose the question to Roland to see if he could measure one again.

Check Roland's comment here - Clicky

hmmm id put money on all JCW's 2005 onwards being 11%!!

Yeah Roland too says he'd like to measure more, guess we'll never find out unless all JCW owners start ripping there pulleys of for a quick measure

Doesn't matter what size it is - it's the performance that's important

just to clarify, i have an 06 jcw, and was told by my dealer that the upgrade did not include a smaller pulley, when i asked if it was possible to get a reduced pulley from jcw they said they didnt do one?? and had never heard of one? if they jcw do a pulley does anybody know how much it is? how much reduction and if the warranty is affected? sorry if this sounds stupid but the dealers confused me big time. thanks

Your dealer doesn't know what they're talking about ... the supercharger in the JCW Kit has a reduction pulley.

I have just fitted a GTT 2%crank pulley to my GP it works very well it spins up a bit quicker. i also fitted a GTT safety bar in case the belt snaps a must have part. i also fitted a GTT works replacement filter it is a bit better air flow and sounds better too. and i fitted colder plugs, get rid of you works plugs sometimes the electrodes break off and fall in the bores, and smash a hole in your piston be (warned) all good stuff

..Hi, both JCW and GP supercharger pulleys are 12% smaller diameter than the standard MCS ones. We've got a GP in today for the GTT +3% Crank Pulley, GTT TB Idler pulley ,GTT Tensioner Pulley ,GTT Tensioner Stop ,GTT/JCW Filter etc so weve been able to measure accuratly.......Give me a couple of hours and Ill tell you the boost too, as were fitting a boost guage too....should be around 15psi-16psi.with these mods.
Best Regards Roland GTT
