Offline | Why did you opt for the JCW on your MCSC? In a vain attempt to rescue this forum from the GP dominators (you know who you are!) I thought I'd do a little research after a mate of mine asked why I put the JCW on what is essentially a car for cruising in (his words not mine)? My response was instantaneous - 4,500 rpm or thereabouts, and then I showed him. Needless to say he got out the car with a big eating grin on his face! There's also a school of thought amongst my oppo's that it's because I'm an idiot who just has to have it, because it's there ![]() ![]() If you can't be good... be good at it! Offline | I had the same question raised when I had mine done, but just gave the person the keys for a drive, he came back saying that is just the best thing I have driven ![]() The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |

Offline | i got a JCW to replace my MCS to get more speed, power and grunt...and it satisfied in every sense!! There is a definitive improvement in all these areas over the MCS. Even now i'm thinking of adding more power to mine. The JCW is fantastic; best car i have ever driven. ![]() nil satis nisi optimum:blue til i die |

Offline | I don't have a MCS or a JCW. If I could afford it I would get a JCW for a few reasons. -Who doesn't want more power? -Really really quick getaways from morons (cell phone talkers, newspaper readers, sleepers, just plain stupid) on the highway. -It appeals to my vanity. -Blowing out a certain GTI. Or at least having a solid base to work from for that. Uh, what drug dealers in the South is gonna drive a yellow MINI? ![]() |

Offline | Must share. 1/2 an hour ago I got back from a blast back home on an almost deserted, twisty A road (I only passed 3 cars in 15 miles). I don't care if the new generation S has a refind turbo'd engine with a nice exhaust note, there is no way that car or a standard first gen S is going to beat the thrill and the scream of that supercharger at full throttle through the JCW exhaust . Man and machine in pure harmony! Awesome!!! I'm just sitting here typing this looking at the JCW through the window!!! Think I might go out on that road again now!! See 'ya! ![]() |

Offline | Took a JCW out for a test drive 3months after getting my MCS, when I got back the dealer said "Judging by that Cheshire Cat grin on your face can I take the liberty of booking your car in for the conversion then". I said "would tomorrow be alright" |

Offline | I didn't have a reason other than after 3 MCS's I wanted something a bit different - it was either going to be a low spec Boxster or a high spec MCSC. Close call though. It was only the extra seats that did it for me in the end. |

Offline | Why?John Cooper , that's why! I've had old british cars for over 26 years, still do in fact. So when I had the chance to finally buy a NEW car, of course it would be a MINI Cooper S and of course it would be a JCW car!!! Have had the Astro Black 06 JCW since September 22 and it's the best car I have ever owned, hands down. Had the chance to get the GP and would have loved to have one, but I'm really glad I stuck to my own spec'd JCW in the end. But If I could have afforded two, LOL The nightmare rides are back........... |

Offline | Why a MCSC with JCW?..I'll tell ya.. Picture this... Summer, Hot, Middle of Countryside roof down, hot wife beside you.....You've just come round a sharp left corner onto a nice straight, you put your foot down and the engine revs rise and that awesome sound kicks in from the front , you accelerate away with the engine whining.. As you change through the gears you get slight pops from the back, easily audible with the hood down and the sun shining down on you.. At the end of the straight theres a sharp left, so you hit the brakes hard (being the last of the late brakers!) change down through the gears whilst the upgraded brakes bite hard.. Slipping into 2nd round the corner you accelerate hard again and lift off , just so you can hear that exhaust burble, and pop...and as you slow down again ,a big grin breaks out as you enter the Bulls Head to meet your fellow Mini drivers for a long Sunday Lunch... Thats why you get a MCSC with JCW....!!.. or at least i did.. |
