lowering my works and wheels question

hello.. i havent even got my mini yet and im new to the forums

can you please give info on a few things

i would like to lower my car..


whats the ideal offset for the mini??
the wheels i have seen are 225/40/18 so quite wide. you think they be ok?
i have seen some nice 18s
one more thing. where is the cheapest place to fit the works engine kit or do you have to go to the dealers
