| Giggity-goo! | That sounds about right to me. I'm sure it takes about 10 hours labour, which would account for £800-£1000 of that quote I would imagine. Really you are paying for the fact that MINI will still honour the warranty on the car. There are packages out there (eg GTT) that will give you JCW+ performance for less £££. These companies should have warranties on their own parts. I would search around MINI2 to view threads where people have discussed all the different aftermarket tuning packages for the R53 S. But if its JCW that you really want, it will cost you. ![]() ![]() |

| I am not a number!! | most dealers the last time I checked were fitting the kit for £3500, and some were also including the brake upgrade in this deal too ![]() Those were Woodmans and Woolastons, you can find them in the sponsors directory if you want call them for a price ![]() I didn't mean it ![]() |

Offline | Compared to aftermarket maybe, compared to no works kit, you'll lose money. And if you can get insured on a works there's probably loads of places that will insure with an aftermarket tuning kit, IF that's the way you want to go. Warranty and resale can be issues with aftermarket tuners, doesn't mean you cant resell, but you narrow your market somewhat. |
