Exhaust popping on the overun.

This happens all the time on my GP.

Leaking exhaust or normal behaviour for the car?

Did you not test drive the car before you brought it

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

Mine seems to be popping more all the time. Love it What do I need a radio/CD for anyway?

Now the good weather's here, just wind the window down and enjoy it even more!

Makes up for the lack of a decent sound system.

Even with a decent sound system, I find I use the mute button a lot so I can enjoy the car

Nope.
If a car is new, or nearly new, hence fully factory warranted, i often buy without driving. I just do the important research first to make sure i want one.
The GP is my 99th car.

Just to be clear, is that 99th this week, or the total figure?

Its a marvelous part of the car I find. Since I have had a reroute pipe done by GTT on the exhaust it sounds even better. I hear a free flowing manifold also helps increase pop.

I can not see how any one who bought a GP from new had the opportunity for a test drive.

Ordered the car from web and brochure details

Saw the car for the first time at the London motorshow

The next time I saw a GP was when I picked it up from the dealer.

I would imagine that most UK people had the same sort of experience when they bought it new.

Anyone buying secondhand would have had the opportunity of a good test drive.

Haha. Very good.

99 in 34 years, just under 3 a year, not so many really put that way!

I agree with latter posters.
Most owners will not have test-driven it first. They will either not have had the chance or will have just bought it.
It's not rocket science.
