Silver mirror caps on JCW GP - looks the dogs ******** !

Just put a pair of Pure Silver painted mirror caps on my JCW GP instead of the standard Chilli Red ones, and have to say, it has transformed the look of the car - I am so impressed by the difference it has made. I can't imagine why BMW didn't do it from the outset.

It has turned it from looking like a 'boy racer mobile' into a 'classy looking special'. No doubt in my mind that the car looks worth more money and less 'in your face' than before. I can admire it now without thinking 'red nose day' whenever I look at it.

Just a thought fellow GP owners - you might want to think about it too

Happy to post up a couple photo's tomorrow (it's dark now!).

Truly, has made a big improvement in my eyes, and those of my wife, in-laws, work colleagues, friends, etc.

The Chilli red ones are now in a box for if and when I sell the car.

A few people that have seen mine always question the red mirror caps, saying they look odd, but for me this is part of the stand out features of the cars design so I am not planning to change them.

I do have a set of the Carbon Fibre mirror caps, but it just makes the car look boring and sensible IMO.

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

Photographs

See attached. Much classier looking in my opinion. The fact that Peugeot are starting to put red mirror caps on their cars tells me it's time to change

Makes it look narrow or something. Personally dont see anything wrong with red ones, car has several red accents, the brakes, the rear lights, the works badges, and in the boot.

Sorry, another thumbs down from a fellow GPowner.

I've toyed with several idea in the past, carbon etc, but just couldn't do it.!

The red mirriors are so much part of the car.
