Hi all, this is probably obvious, but thought it was worth a post.

I just wanted to warn people away from buying JCW parts from eBay, for the simple reason that they are in most cases an absolute rip-off.

For example - at the minute I can see the sill trim plates for £65 Buy-it-now or £82 with bids These are approx £40 for the pair from a dealer at full price.

Similarly, wheel centre caps. £40 on eBay, approx £17 from a dealer.

I can imagine that other JCW bits are similarly overpriced.

So buyer beware

I've not bought anything from eBay so no story to tell, but having ordered JCW bits from the local dealer recently I was astonished at the eBay prices... Still, a fool and his money..

It's true there are some cons on there but I got my bits from Cotswold BMW, one of the traders on ebay.
They not only beat all the dealers on price but by a large margin for example I bought a CF Bonnet scoop for the R56, 130 pounds all the other dealers could only match 150.

So your right, beware of some dealers, but as long as you do your homework before commiting to anything you'll be more often than not quids in.
